THE HAITIAN GRENADIER MENS WINNIPEG SOCCER TEAM
We joined a small indoor tournament called the Inter-Continental League that consists of 7 games.
The team has been working on building team, chemistry, and learning how to work together as a team in order to reach our goals of winning games
Unfortunately, we were unable to win our first few games. Our first game was against Spain where we lost 5-2, 2nd game against India was a 4-1 loss and 3rd game against Sweden ended with a score of 1-0 for sweden.
So because of the limited amount of teams in the tournament we play each team twice which means we have a chance to redeem our losses and that’s exactly what we did!
As some of you may know, Grenadier means a fighting spirit. The Haitian Grenadiers never gave up and continued fighting to show that we are strong and can indeed win!
Starting with our 4th game aka our second re-match against India was a successful redemption for team Haiti with a 4 to 1 win.
Next was our 5th game against Spain
Where we also redeemed ourselves in this close intense game with a 3 to 2 win for Team Haiti!
Our next game we will be having is against Sweden on February 28 from 5:00pm to 6:00pm at 770 Leila Ave.
Please come ready to support the team representing Haiti in your Haitian colours with your Haitian flags!
After this game it will determine if we will be participating in playoffs, either for bronze, or the Gold position!
